Delete your DOZUS account
Closing your DOZUS account permanently removes your profile, listening history, reflections, settings, and purchase records from our database. Here’s how to do it.
From inside the app
This is the fastest route. Deletion is immediate.
- Open the DOZUS app and sign in if you aren’t already.
- Tap the You tab at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the cog icon in the top-right corner to open settings.
- Scroll to Delete account and tap it.
- Read the confirmation, then tap Delete permanently. This cannot be undone.
You’ll be signed out immediately and returned to the onboarding screen. Your account and the data tied to it are gone.
If you can’t open the app
Email route
Email dombthomas@icloud.com from the address tied to your account and ask us to delete it. We’ll do it within 30 days, and confirm by reply when it’s done.
To avoid the email route being abused to delete other people’s accounts, we only act on requests sent from the email address registered on the account.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, all of the following are removed from our database:
- Your account email and the password hash (auth record).
- All listening sessions and progress data.
- All reflections you’ve written.
- All protocol settings and personalisation.
- All purchases linked to your account in our database.
- All device records tied to your account.
- Any waitlist or feedback entries linked to your account.
What is retained, and for how long
| Data | Where | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymised crash reports (no account ID, no email) | Sentry | Rolling 90 days, then auto-deleted |
| Apple App Store receipts | Apple (not us) | Per Apple’s own policies |
| Backups containing deleted records | Supabase | Until the backup window rolls over (max 7 days) |
We do not retain any anonymised aggregate analytics, because we currently don’t collect any.
Reactivation
Deletion is permanent. There is no “undo” window and no way for us to restore a deleted account, even if you change your mind the next day.
If you decide you want to come back, you’ll need to create a new account. Previous purchases tied to the same Apple ID may be restored through Apple’s standard restore-purchases flow.
