One session. Four phases. The same shape every time.
You come down out of the busy, analytical mind into a receptive state, the one where the subconscious is actually reachable. Nothing reaches the layer underneath while the critical filter is still up.
Surfaces the old emotional charge held under the surface (the flinch, the held breath, the pre-emptive no) and lets it settle. Rehearsing a new pattern on top of it doesn't hold while the old reaction is still wired underneath.
Rehearses the new response vividly enough that the subconscious encodes it as lived experience. An imagined experience fires close to the same circuits as the real thing. This is the phase that does the rewiring. You're not asked to do anything but listen.
The new state is encoded in silence first, so it settles into something that stays who you are rather than something you visited. Then a deliberate return brings you all the way back, alert, clear, the work intact.
